What's cookin'?

Raisin Bread

Well, ok, I used the bread machine, but I did have to measure stuff!

1 Cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
3 cup of bread flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 and 1/2 tablesoons dry milk (I didn't have any so I used reg. milk)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 and 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
3/4 cup of raisins.

Just chuck everything in the bread machine. It says to add the raisins when the machine beeps, but I find they don't get mixed in as well. So when it beeps I take the dough out and fold my raisins in by hand and then put it all back to finish up and bake. Then go watch the Young and the Restless and languish in the smell of bread!

Phew, baking is such hard work.

Smiles,
Lisa

  1. Hi Lisa....Thank you for visiting my blog. I see you are just sort of "down the road" from me(Interstate). Are you just like so sick of this weather? It is snowing here in Millinocket. To turn to freezing rain this PM. MOre to come on Sunday. UGH. I also sell on Ebay and Etsy (business has been slow). I love your goats. About 15 years ago, I had rabbits, ducks, and chickens. I loved it. I love all animals. Ready for spring? I am so ready. It is so nice to meet you, can't waiat to talk again! Hugs, Kathleen
