Maybe it IS easy being cheesy...

Wow, I made cheese. I feel so housewifey! I have been reading Barbara Kingsolver's book, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. It's about growing your own food and eating locally produced food. Very eye opening and inspiring. Her 19-year old daughter includes family recipes and I stole this recipe for 30-minute mozzerella! AND IT WORKED! I can make cheese. I am so excited. Now I need to find out how to make parmesan and Pepper Jack. I'll let you know how it goes!



  1. O.K. Lisa, you got me hooked. Please consider posting the recipe for your cheese. It took me back in time when we traveled outside of Amsterdam and stayed at a working cheese farm. We went back many times as we were living in Germany at the time. How fun your life is. I tried many yrs ago, the sour dough starter, it is very good, but be prepared, it is lots of work to keep going. Good luck, please let us know. Char
